Her first novel, Everything in the Garden, was published in 2005, followed by five further novels with Honno Welsh Women’s Press, including her latest, A Different River.

The Open Space team are delighted to welcome back Jo after her appearance with Crystal Jeans and Elizabeth Porter in March 2017.

Alys Einion is the author of two novels, Inshallah, which was published in 2014, and Ash, a continuation of the story begun in Inshallah.

Alys has a PhD and an MA in creative writing, and combines being a novelist with a ‘day job’ as an academic in the field of midwifery and reproductive health. She is also an activist for women’s equality and LGBT+ rights, and an active blogger.
