Manuscripts

WRITERS, PLEASE NOTE: Due to an increase of interest in Honno by writers, we have been overwhelmed with manuscripts and are currently not accepting any more until October 1st, 2010. Many thanks to all those who have already sent something in, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are always interested in receiving unsolicited manuscripts of any kind but at the moment we are not publishing children/teenage novels, poetry or short story collections by a single author.

However whatever kind of work you are sending please ensure that you meet our criteria BEFORE sending it to us.

When submitting your manuscript, in the first instance please send us a synopsis and the first 50 pages - by post please, not email. Send it for the attention of Caroline Oakley to: Honno, Unit 14, Creative Units, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 3GL.

Please note that all manuscripts are considered individually which takes time. We aim to give feedback on unsolicited manuscripts within four months of receipt however during very busy periods feedback may take longer. We do reply to everyone who has sent in a manuscript and we appreciate your patience while we consider your work.

If you wish to receive an acknowledgement that your manuscript has been received please enclose a stamped, addressed postcard with your manuscript. And of course, if you would like your manuscript returned to you, please also enclose a stamped addressed envelope of the right size and postage.
