Margiad Evans

Margiad Evans

Margiad Evans (1909-1958) established her reputation as an Anglo-Welsh writer early on in her life. By the age of twenty-five she had published four novels and was known for her briliant descriptions of the natural world. Her literary career was cut short when she died tragically of a brain tumour aged just forty-seven. Some of her poetry and short stories are reprinted in the two Honno Classics anthologies 'A View Across the Valley' and 'Welsh Women's Poetry'.
