Jo Verity
Having worked as a graphic designer and medical graphic artist, Jo started writing in 1999 'to see if she could'. She has published four very successful novels: Not Funny, Not Clever, Everything in the Garden, Bells (which was awarded a commissioning grant by the Welsh Books Council) and Sweets From Morocco.
Jo has also had short stories, poems and articles published or broadcast on Radio 4. She won the Richard & Judy Short Story prize in 2003 (against 17,000 entries), won the Western Mail short story competition, was shortlisted for the Asham Award, was a runner-up in the 2008 Mslexia International Poetry Competition and was a finalist in the inaugural Mslexia International Short Story Competition in 2009.
